A Large Mechanical Force from the Quantum Vacuum
NASA's Breakthrough Physics Propulsion Program concluded that we might someday use the momentum of the photons of the Quantum Vacuum to eliminate the cumbersome on-board reaction-mass and fuel of rockets. According to Stochastic Electrodynamics, the photons of a universal, self-existent Zero-Point Energy Field continuously impart their momentum to matter, physically causing the speed and positional uncertainties of subatomic particles, Einstein's Brownian Motion, Van der Waals Forces, and the anomalously energetic behavior of liquid helium. Like the moving part in any Casimir Force Experiment a Quantum-Thruster needs not to supply its own energy or reaction-mass because, it too, is accelerated by an external force, the radiation pressure of the photons of the Quantum Vacuum. Though bombarded uniformly from all directions, it experiences a net thrust because even completely identical photons impart twice as much momentum to its more-reflective side as to its more-absorbent, opposite side. Quantum-Thrusters are the consummate Prime Mover for anything we want to move and for all the clean energy we could ever want.

How We Can Change the World:
Its been done many, many times under much worse opposition that we face! Iconoclasts are individuals that tear down the false images that guide the mentality---the inner machinery of how society operates. It simply does no good to merely wring our hands and endlessly complain about how secret societies and the rich exercise great influence and manipulate World and Societal Events. When we endlessly rehearse these things, we are usually lifting up the banner of their power rather than acknowedging the power and responsibility that we have to change the World. Five hundred years ago, Western Civilization was indistinguishable from the Taliban. Actually, the Inquisition was arguably far worse!!! Historically, ordinary, flesh and blood people worked very hard over many generations to wrest power from the power-elite and create the great secular society we enjoy today. If our forbears could overcome the Inquistion, there is nothing stopping us from changing the World any way we choose; however, we will never succeed as long as we indulge the delusion that other people control our lives and we ourselves have no power!!! In these papers I outline a basis for hope and a methodology for putting an effective plan in motion!

What could be more fair than allowing anyone who wants to hold public office to participate in a random drawing??? This is authentic Democracy! This is how they chose their Assembly Members in Ancient Athens! This presents the very real possibility of stripping special interests of their ability to buy undue influence in the form of campaign donations. (Obviously, Presidents and State Governors could not be selected at random.) Could we do any worse than the present system??? (If this proposal seems impossible to accomplish, (re)read Iconoclast Community: We can do this!!!

A Unique Perspective on Abortion
From either standpoint it is a life and death issue; unfortunately, there is very little real dialog taking place. I present a perspective that explains why the two sides miss completely miss each other and why the whole mess deteriorates into the ideological equivalent of a food-fight. I then offer a third viewpoint that should provide a better basis for facilitating a constructive dialog. There simply is no room for harsh, presumptious judgments; nobody really knows what is going on the the heart or mind of another individual, least of all---the individual himself, and that means you and me!!!
How to Learn From History!!!
Most of us think we have have learned from history once we have decided that we will never do the stupid things that were committed by our forbears; however, this is precisely why we haven't really learned from history, historically speaking. The real lesson of history is that all its many players were flesh and blood people such as ourselves. We are just as vulnerable to the same sorts of passions and the delusions as they were. In these papers, I search out the real lessons of history---the ones that help us deal with our own dark sides as well as how to cultivate the noble human tendencies.
